Made with a special kind of plastic, these bags are made to degrade in the settings in which they are actually used. Many similar products claim to be compostable but only do so in industrial settings. These ones will break down into water, CO2, and biomass. It's been thoroughly tested and is safe for plants, animals, sea, and soil.
There's no perfect product in this area, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons on this one!
